FAQ – Load Restraint Gauge

  1. What is Yaw-Drift in Gyroscope sensors?

Yaw-drift in a gyroscope refers to the gradual deviation in angular measurements over time, even when the device is stationary.

  2. How is it (Yaw-Drift) being dealt with in this app?

This app takes a reference reading before the actual measurement.
The drift is minimized with this extra step where
the duration in between these 2 readings are reduce.
Thereby further reducing the window for the drift.

  3. How to improve on the accuracy of the readings?

Where a drastic move of the device contribute to possible skipping.
Moving the device gradually with a steady hand minimizes any sudden or jerky movements that may impact accuracy. This approach is crucial in maintaining better accuracy. It helps to make certain that the device’s movement is controlled and consistent.

  4. Can there be more than one session of measurement?

Yes, we are working to include multiple recording sessions in future updates.
But it will only be available to subscribers.
Non-subscribers will only get a single session.
This feature is on hold in order not to miss the launch date.

  5. Why there is no export feature to allow further validation by engineers remotely?

The export feature is part of the add-on that we would like to include in future updates. We are also exploring the various data formats for export.

(Do let us know if you have any suggestion for the data format to export.)

More FAQ will be posted as we get feedback from users.
